Latest news from TXM Academy

We are pleased to announce the latest addition to their UK wide network of Rail Training Centres with the opening of its new training centre located in Avonmouth, Bristol.

TXM Academy’s new training facility located conveniently just off the M5, includes state of the art classrooms, a 200m length of rail track and soon to include overhead power lines. The TXM Academy facility has been purpose-built to support the development of the rail network infrastructure, electrification and expanding workforce in the South West and Wales, led by a professionally qualified team of Trainers and Assessors.

The electrification of one of the UK’s busiest stretches of railway is one of the largest rail projects in modern times and will improve the links between major towns right across southern England, providing cleaner and smoother travel for passengers and reducing noise pollution for the local community who live near the railway.

The centre officially opens on the 25th August and will offer a wide range of commercial rail training courses to include On Track Plant, Track Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Permanent Way, Small Tools, Lift Planner, ALO and ICI, with plans to offer NVQ and Apprenticeship Programmes in the near future.

The Avonmouth centre will be the fifth TXM Academy training location, joining established sites in Milton Keynes, Beckingham, Wigan and Langley.

“The Avonmouth training centre is a great addition to our network of training facilities across the UK and ideally placed to support the Rail Industry in the South West and Wales,” said Andrew Jarman, Director of TXM Academy. “Equipped to deliver a wide range of Rail and Health & Safety training this is a major investment for us and part of our ongoing objective to raise the standard of training and provide long-term support for the rail industry across the UK.”
